How it goes

  1. Walk the lot. We look at what's there, how we get a machine in, and what you're building.
  2. Clear and strip. Brush and stumps come out, and the topsoil gets stripped and piled where you want it.
  3. Haul and grade. Debris gets hauled away and the ground is rough-graded and ready.

Good to know

Check for a tree permit

Some municipalities, the City of Nanaimo included, have tree bylaws for larger trees. It's worth checking before the machine shows up.

Keep your topsoil

Stripped topsoil can be stockpiled on site and spread back on the yard later, instead of buying it back.

Questions people ask

Can you clear a steep lot or one that's hard to get into?

Usually. Access is the first thing we look at, so send photos of the way in and we'll tell you what we can do.

What happens to the stumps and brush?

It gets loaded up and hauled away, unless you want some of it left, like firewood or a brush pile.
