What's included

  • Base excavation for new driveways
  • Gravel base and topping
  • Compaction
  • Ditching alongside
  • Access roads and gate prep
  • Repairs to potholed or washed-out driveways

How it goes

  1. Dig out. Soft ground and topsoil come out, down to something solid.
  2. Build the base. Gravel base in, compacted in lifts.
  3. Top and shape. Topping gravel on, shaped and crowned so water runs off it.

Good to know

Paving later?

The base is still the part that matters most. A good one now saves tearing it out later.

Washed out after winter?

It's usually water going where it shouldn't. A ditch or a better crown is often part of the fix.
